GC2 Driver and Firmware Installation - Including Original Firmware to New Firmware Steps

Should you experience trouble updating your GC2 firmware please consult the steps below:

 

1. If you are using outdated firmware the device may not connect to your computer. To begin, download and run to install the Original GC2 Driver Package :

 

1.       Download and save the file from the link: Original GC2 Driver Package

2.       Run the installation after the file has been successfully downloaded.

3.       Follow the onscreen instructions, guiding you to select the correct windows operating system (3 options: XP, Win 7 (32 or 64 bit).

(To find this information go to Start Menu > Control Panel >System and Security > System)

 

2. Once that has been completed, download and run to install Updated GC2 Driver Package : 

 

1.       Download and save the file from the link: Updated GC2 Driver Package

2.       Run the installation after the file has been successfully downloaded.

3.       Follow the onscreen instructions, guiding you to select the correct windows operating system (32 or 64 bit).

 

3. Now verify the GC2 is connected please select Start Menu > Devices and Printers

 

1.   Connect the GC2 using the USB cable

2.   Notice at the bottom of the window for an NGLM device (this is the GC2)

(If you are running XP you will need to go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Devices and look for the NGLM device in the list)

 

4. Lastly download and install the Firmware Installation v4.0.0.15: 

  1. Run the installation after the file has been successfully downloaded. 
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions, guiding to select the correct windows operating system (Win 7, Win 8, or Win 10 as well)
  3. Connect the GC2 to your computer with the USB cable and power the GC2 on.

 

Then the firmware will run from the installation.

 

  1. Follow the onscreen instructions no need to power off the GC2 again if the device is already powered on
  2. Run the installation
  3. Power off the GC2 at the end of the installation
  4. Unplug the GC2 from the USB connection
  5. Power back on the GC2 device and note at the top of the third loading screen that the 4.0.0.15 firmware has updated.
