What to Do if a Device Is Stolen or Lost

What to Do if a Device Is Stolen or Lost

At Foresight Sports Canada, we take product security seriously. To protect both our customers and our brand, we maintain strict policies regarding stolen or lost devices.

If You Are Purchasing a Device

Before buying a second-hand device (from a reseller, marketplace, or auction site), verify its ownership status with us:

  1. Provide the serial number to our Support Team.

  2. We will confirm if the device has been reported lost or stolen.

If Your Device Has Been Stolen

If you are the registered owner and your device has been stolen:

  1. File a police report immediately and keep a copy for your records.

  2. Contact our Support Team with your device’s serial number and a copy of the police report.

  3. We will update our records to mark the device as stolen, which prevents future support or transfers on that unit.

⚠️ Once a device is flagged as stolen, it cannot be reactivated or cleared, even if it resurfaces later.

Our Support Limitations

Devices flagged as stolen or lost are not eligible for:

  • Technical support

  • Warranty coverage

  • Ownership transfer

  • Software licensing

We cannot override these restrictions under any circumstance.

If You Already Purchased a Stolen Device

  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide support or unlock stolen devices.

  • Please contact the seller directly to resolve the matter.

  • If you believe you were misled, you may wish to file a police report and pursue action through your local authorities.

Preventing Issues with Future Purchases

  • Always purchase devices directly from Foresight Sports Canada or our authorized distributors.

  • Verify the serial number with us before paying a third party.

  • Be cautious of deals that appear “too good to be true.”

FAQ

Why can’t you just reset or unlock a stolen device?
Once a unit is reported stolen, it is permanently restricted. This protects the rightful owner and discourages unauthorized resales.

What if my stolen device is recovered later?
Even if recovered, we cannot remove the stolen status. The restriction remains permanent.

Can I pay to clear the stolen status?
No. There is no process to clear a stolen or lost designation.

👉 To check a device’s status or report a stolen unit, please contact our Support Team through the channels listed on our Support Page.
