Upgrade Guide

  1. Close all programs & software so only the desktop is visible.

  1. Open the Chrome web-browser and navigate to the FSX 2020 updates website:

https://www.foresightsports.com/fsx2020updates

  1. Select the most current software available for your type of license.

Typically this will be the Online version.

As of April 14, 2020 the current version of FSX software available is FSX 2020 v7.1.0.5

*Note: The date is not updated so you will need to go by version number*

  1. You will be redirected to a Hightail link. After loading, press the red ‘Download All’

Button in the upper right corner. You may need to ‘reload’ or maximize your browser to full screen.

  1. After Downloading is complete, locate the file and run the installation.

This can be done two ways.

  1. Open your ‘My Downloads’ folder. The folder is accessible through the windows file explorer and can be opened by using the yellow folder on the taskbar. Once the file explorer is open, use the left-hand shortcut menu to navigate to the Downloads folder. The file should be named: ‘Foresight Sports Experience Components 2020 v7.1.0.5 ONLINE’

  1. Use the downloads bar at the bottom of the page and press the down arrow once the file has finished downloading. Select the option ‘Show in Folder’ to automatically open the windows file explorer to the ‘My Downloads’ folder. Locate the file ‘Foresight Sports Experience Components 2020 v7.1.0.5 ONLINE’

  1. If a blue prompt appears, you may first have to single left-click 'More Info' then single

left-click 'Run Anyways' at the bottom.

  1. Follow along with the remaining prompts. Usually you will have to single left-click: Yes, OK, Open, Continue, Finish or Allow.

  1. Under ‘Step 1’ in the application select ‘GC2’

  1. Under ‘Step 2’ in the application select the unit ‘Inches’
  2. Under ‘Step 3’ in the application fill in the physical measurements for the projector screen.
  1. If no projector is being used, input the stock values:

Stock Image Width:  120 in

Stock Image Height: 101 in

  1. Under ‘Step 4’ in the application you will have to change the DX value. It controls where the target line is. A value of 18 inches should set the target line to the center. As you increase from 18 inches, the Target Line moves towards the right. This effect is mirrored when a Left-hand player is selected in the software.
  1. If no projector is being used, input the stock values:

Stock DZ: 120 in

Stock DX: 18 in

Stock DY: 0 in

Stock Azimuth: 0 degrees

  1. Repeat steps 19.1 - 19.4 for the options ‘GC2T’ and ‘GCQuad’

You can change the dimensions at any time in the future by navigating to:

C:\Program Files (x86,)\Foresight Sports Experience Components\Room Config Tool v2.3.64.0
