"Search for app in the Store?" Message Launching Software Installer
If you are getting the error pictured below in this article there are steps to resolve this. This is related to Windows and not necessarily our software.
It seems to be that Windows is blocking that from running. There is a possibility that the SmartScreen option is on, so you're unable to install downloaded apps. Let's try to turn it off and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:
- Open Windows Defender Security Center from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
- Click on the App and browser control button on the left side of the window.
- Click Off in the Check Apps and Files section.
- Then click on reputation-based protection.
- Then click Off to check apps and files.
If you are unable to turn off the Check Apps and Files since this is more of a Windows issue locate Windows Troubleshooter and run the troubleshooter for Windows Update pictured below for a reference of what you are looking for.
If the steps above do not work below is an article if you are unable to turn off the Check Apps and Files. Method 2 in the article should work if not try method 3.
