Original FSX/FSX 2018/ FSX 2020 - Won't Get Past Validation On Protected Internet Servers

We have seen protected internet networks that will not open the Foresight Sports software. (i.e. schools and hospitals) The FSX software will open to the page where it asks for your username, password, and activation code, but you will not be able to get past this.

The best way to see if the network is blocking our program is to download Fiddler and have it running as you enter the activation info. When you hit next there will be an error coming back from api.foresightsports.com.

When we’ve seen firewalls blocking our software in the past, the network administrator needed to create a rule or exception on whichever security appliance they are using.

One of the network admins will likely need to add a rule that will allow FSX to communicate with the internet and will not remove custom headers from the HTTP requests. This usually requires adding an acceptance for the api.foresightsports.com server call as well.

These are the two exceptions that need to be added to their network admins:

To allow the software to access the game server correctly it must be able to see the following items:

  • Api.foresightsports.com must be allowed through the firewall and security software.
  • Also, port 80 or port 443 which are the standard http/https ports must be open for traffic.
