When opening up one of our software if an error comes up with Missing X3DAudio1_7.dll click on the link below to start a download for DirectX. This should install the missing files.

Alternatively, you can uninstall and/or rerun the installer for the software and go through the installation process again making sure to install the DirectX option selected to have it installed as it may have been canceled, unchecked, or closed.


If you are getting a message about missing MSVCP140.dll or vcruntime140.dll you would need to download and install the latest Visual Studio C++. Click on the link below.

  • Please note: This issue is related to your Windows operating system and the Visual Studio C++ version running currently. This is not a Foresight Software-related problem.

After installing either one or both restart the PC and try again. If the issue still occurs either uninstall the software or rerun the installer and make sure to go through all selections and check that none are missed during the installation process.
