Launch Pro Club Tracking

Launch Pro Club Tracking

Walking through how to enable and use club tracking on the Launch Pro, including accessing the setting through the Quick Settings menu and applying the included club marker to your club so the device can detect it. Once enabled, it defines the club data metrics you’ll see after a shot, such as club speed, path in/out, angle of attack, and efficiency (smash factor), and notes that club data access depends on having the appropriate subscription or feature enabled

Accessing Club Tracking

A diagram showing the Launch Pro device on the left connected by a dotted arrow to two interface screen captures on the right. The top screen displays the Quick Settings menu, where the user selects Settings to access additional configuration options. The bottom screen shows the Tracking Mode menu, where Club Tracking can be turned On or Off, and lists available ball data metrics (such as speed, launch angle, spin, and carry) alongside available club data metrics (such as club speed, efficiency, and angle of attack).

To turn on Club Tracking mode, swipe down to access the QUICK SETTINGS screen, then
go to SETTINGS, then TRACKING MODE. Once the ball is in the hitting zone, the Launch
Pro will display the READY screen and the green LED indicator light will change from
blinking to solid.

Applying a Club Marker

LEARN HOW TO APPLY A CLUB MARKER TO YOUR CLUB

Your Launch Pro doesn’t only look at the ball, but the club too. To take advantage of this
feature, open the club marker packet (included) and follow the directions to apply the club
marker to your club.

A three-step illustrated guide showing how to apply a club marker to a golf club. Step 1 shows a hand cleaning the clubface with an alcohol pad or water. Step 2 shows the club marker being placed on the indicated location on the clubface with the adhesive side down. Step 3 shows a finger pressing firmly on the marker while the tab is gently pulled away, leaving only the club marker attached to the clubface.

Club Data Explained

After your next swing, your Launch Pro will now display club speed, path in and path out,
angle of attack, and efficiency.

Club Speed: The speed the club is traveling just prior to impact. A higher speed means
greater potential distance.

Path In / Path Out: The direction the club head is moving at impact. A “0” path is a straight shot.
A negative path means the ball moves “out to in” and a positive path means
the ball moves “in to out”.

Angle of Attack: The vertical angle of the club head at impact. A positive number is hitting up
on the ball and a negative number is hitting down on the ball.

Efficiency: Efficiency, also known as Smash Factor, is the ratio between club head and
golf ball velocities.
