If Windows computer is not recognizing the GC2 device

If Windows computer is not recognizing the GC2 device

  1. Confirm that the device is connected properly (USB cable is plugged in to both the unit and computer).

  2. Confirm that the USB cable is not damaged in any way.

  3. Confirm that the device has sufficient battery life (not applicable to GC2T/HMT/Kiosk). To check the current charge of the GC2 battery, using the LCD keypad on the display, press the left most arrow key and then navigate to the “About” menu screen within the display settings menu. The current battery charge will be displayed in volts. The GC2's Nickel Metal Hydride battery is considered fully charged at 7.6 volts and higher. The battery will need to be recharged if displays a reading of 7.1 volts or lower.

    IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS

  4. While the GC2 device is plugged into a Windows computer and powered on, go to the computer's START MENU > DEVICES AND PRINTERS and scroll down to unspecified devices and look to see if " NGLM MSC interface device " is displayed. If "NGLM MSC interface device" is displayed and shows no associated errors, the GC2 device is recognized by your computer and the problem may be your flash module or the length of USB cable being used. Recommended USB cable length should be no greater than five meters / sixteen feet. Please contact Foresight Sports Technical Support for assistance
