How to Update Firmware on GCQuad or QuadMAX

Keeping your GCQuad or QuadMAX up to date ensures the best performance and compatibility with Foresight Sports software. Firmware updates often resolve known issues, improve shot capture, and add new features.

Note: Windows PC required - Not Available on Mac or MacOS


Step 1: Check Your Current Firmware

  1. Power on your device.

  2. Go to the Settings menu.

  3. Locate the Firmware Version number.

  4. Compare this version to the latest release available on the Foresight Sports Support Page.


Step 2: Download the Latest Firmware

  1. Go to the Foresight Sports Support Page.

  2. Select your device (GCQuad or QuadMAX).

  3. Download the firmware update installer listed for your device.

  4. Save the file to your PC.


Step 3: Install the Firmware

  1. Connect your device to your PC using the provided USB-C cable.

  2. Run the firmware installation file you downloaded.

  3. When prompted by the application, select Update Firmware.

  4. Wait for the process to complete — the device may restart during this process.

  5. Once complete, you’ll see a CLOSE option on the application window.


Step 4: Verify the Update

  • Restart your device.

  • Go back into Settings and confirm the firmware version matches the latest release.


Our Support Limitations

  • Devices running outdated firmware may experience issues with Foresight Sports software.

  • If the update process is interrupted (power loss, disconnection), the device may need to be serviced.

  • We can only provide support for devices running one of the two most recent firmware versions.


Warranty Coverage

  • Firmware updates are fully supported under warranty.

  • If an update failure causes a hardware issue, it will be covered under the device’s standard warranty:

    • GCQuad / QuadMAX: 2 years


When to Contact Support

Contact our Support Team if:

  • You are unable to complete the firmware update.

  • The device does not power on or function correctly after an update.

  • You are unsure which firmware version applies to your device.

Include your device’s serial number and the firmware version you attempted to install.

How often should I update firmware?
We recommend checking for updates every 3–6 months, or whenever you update your Foresight Sports software.

Can I skip firmware updates?
Skipping updates may cause compatibility issues with newer versions of Foresight Sports software. Staying current is best.

What if the update fails?
Retry the process. If it fails again, contact Support with your device details and firmware version.
