All GCQuads require online registration every 45 days whether you have the use FSX software (ONLINE or DONGLE versions) or no simulation software at all. This registration can take place in three ways:
1. Connect the device in the FSX 2020 software when the computer is connected to the internet:
2. Connect the device to an internet router via ethernet to ping the Foresight server:
3. Use the GCHawk Tool below (Selecting the GCQuad Option as noted):
This tool was designed for the GCHawk but some features carry over to the GCQ as well. You will need to check the GCQ check box on the bottom left of the window and then refresh the devices list.
It is recommended to have the GCQ connected via ethernet but this function should work with USB-C as well.
Once you have the GCQ selected the tool will use your computers internet to ping our server. This should unlock the device for you upon restart.
Using one of the methods above will allow you to connect the device to the server and register it, removing the notice at start up.
