GCHawk - No Longer Locking onto Ball with Green or Blue LED light

GCHawk - No Longer Locking onto Ball with Green or Blue LED light

Problem: The GCHawk has stopped locking onto the ball in the software (FSX Pro, FSX 2020, FSX Play, Foresight Fairgrounds) despite producing a blue or green LED light.

Resolution: Something went wrong with the existing calibration files, and the GCHawk needs to be recalibrated using the GCHawk Calibration Application, which can be downloaded and/or updated via the GCHawks application section found in the support page here. Please ensure you are using the latest version listed on the support page before proceeding.

How To Recalibrate the GCHawk

1. First, you will have to delete the existing calibration files from the computers App Data folder. To do this, you will want to ensure the calibration app is closed and you will want to follow the steps below.

a) Type into the PCs search bar "%appdata%" and hit enter (see Figure 1).
Figure 1

b) Once you have opened up the %appdata% directory in your File Explorer, it will automatically bring you to the roaming folder. Click the "AppData" tab (as seen in Figure 2).
