GCHawk: Is Soccer Mode or Golf Mode Currently In Use On My Device?

Identifying Golf Mode or Soccer Mode

An easy way to identify the  if you device is in Golf Mode or Soccer(Football) Mode would be to test how it is capturing data.

For Soccer Mode:

The capture would be considered Target Acquisition Mode. This means the LED and Cameras are constantly firing in order to capture data as a object moves through the hitting zone.

For Golf Mode:

The capture would be considered Ball Lock Mode. This means that the LED and Cameras first lock onto a stationary object, then begin tracking the object as it is struck and leaves the hitting zone.

For Example -

If you are connected and using FootGolf in FSX 2020, and the devices appears to not be capturing data when the ball moves through the zone:

1. Test by placing a golf ball in the hitting zone.

2. Seeing if you get ball lock.

3. If ball lock occurs then you would need to switch modes before proceeding.

If the issue continues beyond that please report the instance to Foresight Sports Technical Support through our Online Support Form
