Displays Not Recognizing HDMI Cable/Port

  1. The HDMI cable might be one-directional. Please flip the cable around so opposite tips are plugged into the laptop and the TV different from when it was originally installed.
  2. NVIDIA graphics card drivers may require an update.  

* Note: Brand-new computers may need NVIDIA graphics card updates right out of the box. *

  • Go to the NVIDIA GeForce Experience application in the bottom RH corner of your taskbar (see attached photo) and you can check for updates.  If you don’t see anything NVIDIA GeForce Experience related as a logo down by the time/date or if you search for this NVIDIA GeForce Experience application in the search bar and it is completely missing from your computer, please go download NVIDIA GeForce Experience: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/  

 

  • Once this is installed, create an account and check for Driver Updates to download/install.  

 

  • Restart the Laptop/Desktop and the TV
